How parenting changes when you have a tween or teen. (And did you know that adolescence officially starts at age 10 . . . and continues through early 20s?)
Come join other parents of tweens and teens and gain community and support for the transition from pilot to co-pilot. Whether you're about to enter the foreign land of attitude, rebellion, and social media--or already deeply entrenched--this class will help you to recognize the art and emotion involved in letting go while also setting limits. Activities will also focus on the leadership style that will promote the development of long-term skills, such as autonomy and self-respect.
The teen years can be a time when parenting leads to a deeper relationship between parent and child. Come find out how.
Ticket includes 5 Tuesday evening classes, 7pm-9pm: Jan. 17, 31, Feb. 7, 14, 28.
(This class will cover foundational Positive Discipline material with the addition of teen-relevant information and activities. It is fine to enroll with or without prior experience with PD classes.)
