About this Event

Learn how to use a camera as simple as the one on your smart phone to create high quality portraits of loved ones in this workshop. Artist and art educator Kevin Gray will show you how to utilize natural light, proper composition, and simple photographic techniques to create flattering portraits in a variety of settings, whether you are taking pictures of children, adults, or even pets! Students should bring the camera they are most comfortable with.

Kevin Q. Gray is an artist and art educator living in Cherry Valley, NY. He has been a fine art photographer for twenty years, working in a variety of processes ranging from film to digital and even 19th century wet plate. He has exhibited widely in the central NY region and won many awards for his work. Kevin is also the Manager of Arts Education at Fenimore Art Museum where he oversees docents who provide guided tours and creates and coordinates public programs.
