Portraits From Life
Self guided portrait session. Working with your own choice of material, join our portrait session in a dedicated art studio for 3 hours. You will be in the company of an artist that has been classically trained in the city of Florence, and will always be on hand to give advice. Although the session is untutored, please feel free to use this opportunity to ask questions in the breaks about how to progress with your work if you are feeling stuck.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event is open to all skill levels. As mentioned above, the choice of material you decide to draw or paint with is completely up to you. Easels can be provided for support, as well as a small panel to tape any loose paper you may bring with you.
The session will start with a warm up sketch, and will then focus on working from 1 pose only, each drawing session lasts 20 minutes followed by a 5 minute break. There will also be a 15 minute break halfway through the session.
These sessions are limited in space so booking in advance is essential to avoid missing out!
Access
The studio is based at ACAVA Spode Works which is accessed by a set of stairs. There is also lift access to the studio floor and an accessible toilet on the same floor. Please let us know if you have any particular access requirements before attending and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.
