Event Information
About this Event
Bitcoin has the ability to empower individuals from all walks of life.
We are creating a Bitcoin conference that is both affordable and educational.
The Portland Bitcoin Conference is a community-driven conference focused on educational presentations and workshops. It is an annual event where people can come learn about a broad range of Bitcoin topics as well as meet other enthusiasts. The conference is organized and led by volunteers within the local Bitcoin community. Our goal is to make this conference accessible and informative to anyone who wants to learn about Bitcoin.
PBC 2021 is a full-day event that will be held on May 23rd, 2021, at the Oregon Convention Center. It will feature a variety of presentations catering to newcomers and experts alike. For the first half of the day, we will have lectures and workshops geared towards beginners and those curious to learn what Bitcoin is. As the day progresses, the topics will become more broad, geared toward enthusiasts and advanced users. Some of the topics we plan to cover throughout the day include: Initial wallet setup, security & storage best practices, history & philosophy of Bitcoin, lightning network basics, transaction optimization, privacy & obfuscation, future protocol advancements, and much more.
Be sure to check the PBC2021 website for more details and updates.
