Event Details

Member Show and Tell is an event where participants can show the community:

• Their latest food creation or concept.

• A common problem they solved and how.

• How simple it is to use their software platform.

• Or, just something they have been working on lately, and are proud of.

This event builds on experiences learned at PORT Pitch day, and provides a flexible approach to presenting what's new and exciting at your company. There will be an opportunity for a short Q&A, and the presentations will be roughly 3-5 minutes each.

Additionally, we are offering two planning sessions, which are focused on business model generation, for members who want to create business models of the business concept.  The planning sessions, as well as the Member Show and Tell event, are free and available for all PORT members and designates.

Session 1 - Business Model Generation (2pm - 3:15pm)

Participants will be introduced to business modeling concepts, and guided through communicating their business through a business model illustration. These business model illustrations are ideal for either presenting your idea to an audience, or back of the napkin brainstorming and planning. At the close of the session, participants will walk away with an understanding of business modeling, and a presentable model of their business concept.

Session 2 - Lean Business Model Generation (2:30pm - 4pm)

Building on concepts from the previous session, business models will be converted into a lean business model, which focuses entrepreneurs on clear problem and solution statements. Lean business modeling is ideal for startups that are looking to identify opportunities in their field, and also is a method for testing market fit. Participants will leave the session with a better understanding of lean business modeling, and a presentable model of their business.

 Member Show and Tell (5pm - 6:30)

Open to session participants and drop-ins. Session participants will guide theaudience through the business models they created, and receive feedback on their business concept. All presentation participants will receive a video of their presentation free of charge, courtesy of Shia Media Services.

The Port Workspaces

The Port is a unique workspace created for today's connected independent professional. As technology frees us to work anywhere, an affordable, accessible space that's intentionally about productivity, people and professionalism is as important as ever. Technology can be isolating, work and home life need boundaries, and environments drive productivity. Conceived by an architect and an ex-tech entrepreneur, the Port is a fun but polished alternative to the home office and the "coffee shop conference."
