Event description

Description

Date: Saturday, June 2
Nearest Town: Big Sky
Miles (roundtrip): 2 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Organizer: Karen Williams and Steve Griswold

This is a citizen science opportunity to learn how to identify native and non-native plant species, and help native species thrive by identifying and pulling non-native species such as weeds. A botanist will teach us how to identify plants, how they are used by wildlife, and how native and non-native (weed) species interact. We will split into groups and practice identifying weeds and spend a couple hours pulling weeds. MWA will sponsor a BBQ lunch at the Gallatin RiverHouse after the weed pull.

**Meeting time and location will be provided once you sign up.**
