Popcorn Comedy with Peter Liu (Amazon Prime)

You're invited to Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theatre's 30-seat microcinema. Our carefully curated lineup of comedians has been featured on Amazon Prime, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Boulder Comedy Festival.

This month's headliner is the hilarious Peter Liu. Raised in China, Australia, New Zealand, and the exotic land of New Jersey, Peter brings an outsider's eye and an insider's charm to the stage. He has opened for Ronny Chieng at The Wilbur Theater and performed at some of the biggest venues and festivals in comedy, including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The San Francisco Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. Now based in NYC, Peter is back in Boston for one night only to headline the show he co-founded two years ago. If you like your comedy smart, personal, and a little unhinged — don't miss Peter!

• Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.

• Come early to watch classic cartoons on the big screen.
• Grab candy, popcorn, and fountain drinks at the theater's snack bar or bring your own!
• Outside food and drink are allowed in the microcinema (aside from alcohol).
• Beer and wine are available in the lobby.

Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
