Event description

Description

The MakerHub is hosting a Pop Up Makerspace so that students can get hands-on experience with our technology.

Come by if you want to see 3D printed objects or our MakerBot 3D printer in action. We will be teaching students how to design 3D models with TinkerCAD. If you bring a laptop we can show you how to navigate the software. If you have used the software before, we can help with advanced tips and general 3D printing advice.

We will also have Google Cardboard available so that students can experience distance parts of the world using virtual reality. Please preinstall Google's Expeditions App if you want to experience it on your phone.

If you are interested in developing your own interactive projects, or are just curious, come by to learn beginner electronics. We will have Arduino microcontrollers, resistors, and breadboards to light up LED circuits.

There will also be modular electronic toys like Cubelets and Littlebits to demonstrate sensor based designs. We will even have building toys like Legos, and arts and crafts so people can make whatever they want.

Please join us! The event is Tuesday, Nov 28th, from 12:30-2:30 at The Field Center for Entrepeneurship (NVC 2-140.)
