About this event
Ohio Prison Arts Connection shares its second-annual commissioned poster series, this year featuring seven talented artists creating work about growth, transformation, groundedness, and connection to others. Posters will be on exhibit for the first time ever at Akron Art Museum for this event! Each fine-art, hand-printed, limited-edition poster is available to purchase for $30, or the whole series for $150.
Artists include Gwen Garth, Mike Dunn, Jessica Isleim, Aaron Kiousis, Damon Rawls, Corey Grey, and Twyana Davis.
During the event at Herndon Gallery, we are happy to co-host a community conversation about the ways that artists and arts and culture organizations can support artists living in our communities who have experienced incarceration. Performances by Tronee Threat and Latisha Lashay. Panelists include Michael Powell, Mary Evans, Gwen Garth, and DeAndre Gaston.
