FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Over 18s only, please. Not because it's rude (although to be fair some of our madrigals can be a bit racy) but because it's in a pub.
Do I need to be able to read music to take part?
You do need to be a reasonably confident sight singer to get the most out of the evening. However, anyone who just wants to come along to listen and socialise is also very welcome.
Do you provide print-outs of the sheet music?
No, only the links to the sheet music; you need to print out the pages yourself or better yet, save them to a tablet and do the planet a favour.
Any other reasons to come?
What, aside from the fact that you get to sing some of the finest music in our cultural heritage in a fun and relaxed atmosphere for free? Gosh, you are hard to please.
Still, it's probably worth telling you that the venue has some great ales (up to 4 on tap) and that they are £3 a pint at PDtP (offer subject to withdrawal at any time without notice etc etc); how's that for another reason to come?
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Tube, rail, bus, bicycle, on foot - see polyphonydownthepub.com or tfl.gov.uk for details.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
See polyphonydownthepub.com for all the answers you could ever wish for.
