About this event
Join Kaylee Hamann for a beginners level polymer clay jewelry class.
This class is for our house plant lovers out there, whether or not you're into the natural or plastic kind. Come in and make some REAL fake ones for your ears, neck, or keychain you decide! Bring your bestie, some drinks, and snacks and have a nice evening of carefree crafting. In this 2 hour class, we will navigate beginners-level polymer clay techniques to create nature-inspired earrings and pendants. I will show you how these earrings can be anywhere from realistic to kawaii (cute). We will learn how to create strong clay bonds, marbling, textures, and all essential techniques for these adorable accessories. During our break our pieces will bake then I’ll guide our class through decorating, final touches, and assembly. I encourage you to personalize as much as you want, and I will help guide you through this exciting new technique.
A note from Kaylee Hamann
I have been teaching art for 12 years to diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Whether it’s helping a scholar create their artistic vision or entertaining a crowd of carefree artists through a painting or craft, I am always happy to share my artistic knowledge. I work to accommodate my students' individual needs to create a more holistic and inclusive experience. I teach water, oil, acrylic painting; ceramic and polymer clay; small metals and jewelry crafting; and other sculpture and mixed media design classes. The desire to create is all that is absolutely necessary to make an artist and I aim to teach that in my classes. I can help you refine your process if you have to have the passion of your own. When you learn a new art (regardless of medium) you don’t just gain a skill, you gain an experience. The great thing about this experience is you get to take a piece of it home. Although I want my students to leave with something they like, I also want to impart a positive and encouraging experience that reminds them how fun and care-free art can be.
