This is an introduction to lithography as a creative and accessible process. This class requires no prior printmaking experience whatsoever! It is an excellent way to find out what printmaking is all about and why it is such a fun and creative medium. This class is also perfect for the more experienced printer, wanting to add to their printmaking skills. It is a very nontoxic process requiring very little equipment and supplies to move a piece from etch to print. This goal of these classes is to explore another facet of printmaking. Polyester plate lithography is a very forgiving process and yields beautiful “printerly” results. All inital materials are to be provide. As students move through the process they may wish to print on other materials than provided. The class meets Sundays November 13th, and 20th, from 12:00pm until 3pm, and Sunday December 4th from 12:00pm until 3pm. Each class is $60.
