Event description

Description

Join us on Thursday, May 30th as local experts Steve Inglish, team leader of the Cincinnati Nature Center’s butterfly monitoring program, and Jennifer Reed, an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist share ways homeowners can create pollinator friendly spaces by creating intentional gardens, like a butterfly and/or rain garden. Learn less gardening intensive methods to provide habitat such as growing out a portion of your lawn and leaving weeds that benefit pollinators.

Steve is a passionate advocate for pollinators and will share resources to certify your yard as a wildlife friendly yard and Jennifer will share her own recent experience creating a rain garden utilizing native plants that benefit pollinators. Our Gorman Heritage Farm Seasonal Educator, Brittany Lynn will also be sharing her knowledge and experience, discussing residential land stewardship, including sharing her research regarding native bees and native plants.
