Water Bath Canning Demonstration:
July 14 and November 4, 2016 9 a.m. - 1 P.M.
This canning class will teach you:
· How to make jams and other high acid products
· What products may be produced in a home kitchen and sold direct to consumer under the Cottage Food Law
- What equipment you need
- Use of the needed canner
- What can/cannot be altered in a recipe
- Legal requirements to sell home canned products
- Plus, what’s important for safety
All classes will show complete processing procedures, use of equipment and answer all your questions. Directions, recipes and resource lists will be available to take home. You’ll go home ready to start canning!
Note pressure canning is not scheduled to be offered in Polk at this time. Space is limited to 20 participants.
