Event description
Students in Knox County Schools will teach computer programming to local elected officials.

About this Event

What better way to spend a District Learning Day (and a City of Knoxville Election Day) than for students in Knox County Schools to teach computer programming to local elected officials.

Join us for a fun-filled educational hour of coding where the students are the teachers. Elected officials will get unique insight into what students are learning everyday in technology in Knox County.

PolitiCode is made possible via a collaboration of the Knoxville Technology Council, Knox County Schools, and Great Schools Partnership.

Agenda

9:00am We'll start the day with Chick-fil-A and welcoming remarks and introductions of students and elected officials.

9:30am Coding time! Student teams will teach elected officials about computer programming in creative ways.

10:15am Congratulations and concluding remarks.

10:30am Depart for work or home and keep coding:-)
