Event description

Description

Residents can still enjoy the Polish Heritage celebration of the famous Warsaw Table (authentic Polish hors d’euvres), Polish music and a full service sit down Polish dinner at Polish Night hosted by Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Meriden Elks Lodge #35 on Thursday, March 7th. This year’s Polish Night will honor Nate Tencza and Holly LaFayette who passed away last year and were dedicated Polish committee members who served the Meriden community through the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.

The Meriden Elks Lodge #35 has hosted Polish Night since 1967 and former Meriden Police Chief, Robert Kosienski, Sr. formerly chaired and co-chaired the Polish Night Committee for decades to bring the Polish Heritage to residents. As Robert once said, “It’s a celebration for those who are Polish or who want to be polish.”

Father Edward Ziemnicki of St. Stanislaus Parish (was founded in 1891 and built by Polish immigrants of Meriden) will hold a special benediction at the event.
