How can I imagine a Policy⚡️Flash call to be like?

The call lasts for 45 minutes. First, our input speaker briefly introduces a topic they have been working on, an interesting read or a project. We then start a general discussion where you can also introduce your own topics. Subsequently we split into breakout rooms to continue discussions.

How can I access the zoom link?

If you are a volunteer with foraus, you have access to the link via the calendar synced to your email address or on #rigi-general at any time. Otherwise, please find the link by signing up on Eventbrite.

Who can join the Policy⚡️Flash calls?

We have designed the calls to be a space for the foraus community members. You can thus expect to meet our volunteers (https://www.foraus.ch/en/menschen/), members or our alumni:ae at foraus forever. If you are contemplating joining foraus you can also drop in once or twice before becoming a member.

As a current foraus volunteer: Can I invite others to the Policy⚡️Flash calls?

We are always happy to have you help us recruit new members. You can definitely encourage potentially interested people to come and see. In the name of fairness we ask regular attendees to get themselves a foraus membership at https://www.foraus.ch/en/engage/

Do I know enough about foreign policy or the intro topic to join the call?

No imposter syndrome here – all of us have started out fresh in the foreign policy world at some point and none of us are specialists in all fields. You are welcome to just listen, learn from others and ask questions if you don't feel comfortable sharing your ideas yet.

Absolutely! As a participatory think tank we actively want our community to set the agenda and define topics of interest. Just reach out to melina.ehrat@foraus.ch or the current engagement intern and we will save you a slot.
