Join us to discuss books and long-form articles about current social issues and how they relate to Pittsburgh. Policy Pages will meet the first Tuesday of the month from March – June at various Library locations.
Discussions are free and open to the public. While no registration is necessary, we are able to offer a free copy of the book to the first ten registered participants for each discussion. Books are also available for you to check out.
June’s selection is Ghettoside by Jill Leovy, a journalistic look at the hundreds of murders that occur in Los Angeles each year, with a focus on the dedicated group of detectives who pursued justice at any cost in the killing of Bryant Tennelle and a legal system that fails to serve everyone equally.
