About the Instructor
Born in Marin County, Eli McCargar began playing poker with his friends at age 14 and quickly found that he had a knack for taking their money. As his knowledge of the game grew, he played poker casually throughout high school and college to supplement his income. Following college on the East Coast, Eli returned to the Bay Area to work at a software startup. At the same time, Eli began a more serious, intellectual approach to poker. Eli plays both tournaments and cash games at local card rooms and has had several strong tournament finishes. Teaching poker is a confluence of several of Eli's passions, namely logic, strategy, and people.
This is class is brought to you by pariSoma and The Distilled Man.
