Pokémon Sun & Moon League Cup
Sat, April 8, 2017, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT
We're happy to be hosting our second Pokémon League Cup!
The League Cup is a quarterly tournament organized by the Pokémon Company, that includes exclusive prizes like Champion-stamped Playmats and special promo cards.
We will be running our Sun & Moon League Cup as a "Standard" tournament. The event will be limited to 50 players. To reserve a seat, you must register through Eventbrite. Reservations will open on Monday, March 6th, at 7:00 PM. Online reservations will remain open until the event is full, or until the day before the event, on Friday, April 7th, at 11:30 PM. Once the event is full, a Waitlist will be made available.
Registration begins at 10:00 am, when our doors open, with our first rounds firing at as close to 11:00 am as possible. Players with an online reservation must be present by 10:30 am, or their seats will be forfeited and given to a player on the Waitlist.
The initial swiss rounds will be best-of-one. Each division will have at least three swiss rounds, with additional rounds based on attendance. If there is more than one undefeated player in a division after the swiss rounds, we will continue the tournament with a Cut to Top 8 or Top 4 (based on attendance).
Cut rounds will be best-of-three.
Entry into the event is $10.00 for Junior and Senior players; and $15.00 for Masters players.
The Pokémon Company is providing Champion-stamped playmats for the top winner in each division. Additionally, each participant in the tournament will receive a special promo card from Pokémon.
Please note that to be eligible for these prizes, players may be required to be enrolled in the Pokémon Player Rewards program, with a valid address on file with the Pokémon company.
Beyond the official tournament prizes, Meeple Madness will be providing the following prize support:
The winner of each Swiss match will receive a Pokémon booster pack. Players may select their match-win packs from the shoppe's available stock. Players who take an Intentional Draw during the swiss rounds forfeit their match-win pack for that round.
The winner of each Cut match will receive four Pokémon booster packs. Players may select their packs from the shoppe's available stock.
If a division's final results are determined without Cut Rounds, each player will be awarded a participation booster pack for attending. Players may select their match-win packs from the shoppe's available stock.
