Event description

Description

This 29th annual community celebration is a well-loved free event for people of all ages, and a reverent community gathering to honor loves ones who have passed. As the procession weaves its way through downtown Point Reyes there are stops for performances and altar blessings with the Aztec Dancers, El Coro de los Muertos singers, El Coro de los Niños singers and more. The ceremony at Toby's includes an altar blessing ritual plus pagentry and art installations by Ernesto Sanchez and others.

If you would like to help create art or volunteer to paint faces on the day of event please contact Ernesto at ernestostudio@gmail.com who can always use extra helping hands.

El Coro de los Muertos will perform "Songs of Death, Grief and Renewal" and is open to new members. Rehearsals begin in September. Visit www.westmarinchoir.org to learn more.
