Poets Jazz House and the Willie Agee Playhouse are proud to present an evening of masterpieces from the mind of S. Pearl Sharp at our Bi-Monthly Documentary Series. Using her art to address community issues has kept Sharp a well respected leader and mentor in the City of Angels for decades. Ms. Sharp…Author, Journalist, Writer, Independent Filmmaker, Actor, Creativity Coach, Literary Editor, Broadcast Producer, Host & Activist is an American Icon. The Ensemble cast honored to salute their hero includes The Oracle, Conney Williams, Yawo Watts, Artus Mansoir, AmberMarie & Tuesday Conner. Enjoy a quaint Q & A and reception with S. Pearl Sharp after the show in an intimate evening of friends.
Inner City Cultural Center II pays tribute to legends past and present every third Tuesday of the month while documenting the history of Inner City Cultural Center; the first multicultural arts institute in the county.
Tickets: $10 $20 and our $35 ticket includes a pre-show Meet & Greet. No Late Seating
Parking: The Parking Lot closest to the playhouse is where three streets merge...Warren Lane, Stepney STREET and North Park Avenue all end at the Parking Lot entrance. The Playhouse is behind the playground. The park has several parking lots depending on the direction you arrive from.

Tuesday had a passionate love affair with her career designing clothes for Hollywood Celebrities and has been privileged to costume Stage, Film, Recording artists, Television and Tours around the world. Before she became a Fashion Designer to the 10-time Grammy Award winner, Chaka Khan Tuesday managed one of the hottest comedy clubs in The Valley and one of the coolest poetry lounges in the country afterward.
Tuesday’s nonprofit organization for the performing arts and education together with Piccolo’s Books is building children's libraries in Nine Mile Jamaica and providing the community with FREE Arts, Crafts, Computer and Business classes. Locally in Los Angeles Tuesday provides a venue where women and girls of all ages can come express her heart and sell her art in Leimert Park.
