Poetry Plunge @ Cardiff Elementary | YWC 2022

Poets will dip daily into multiple poetry endeavors that tickle the imagination and harken personal experience. We’ll write under the inspiration of literature, nature, art, and mixed media to make meaning and write poetry that reflects what’s important to us and helps us find our voice in this wide world.

Poetry Plunge participants will:

• Explore myriad sources of inspiration for writing that will stir the urge to write
• Delve into experiences and conversations that will spark words on the page
• Play with language, structure and the creative freedom that poetry invites
• Create a body of work from which they can revise and fine-tune selected pieces
• Participate in a writing community where we share and celebrate words and provide feedback

For students entering grades 3-6. Cost is $250 (includes all materials). $50 non-refundable processing fee included. Eventbrite service fees included.

What is a class/group? Camp will consist of up to 24 students and facilitated by two SDAWP writing teachers.

What materials will I need? Fees includes all materials.

Registration Deadline Registration deadline is June 13. Minimum enrollment must be met to offer this program. 

What is the refund policy? No refunds after June 13.

Is there a sibling discount? Additional sibling—$225 each. A partial refund will be processed after the first day of camp.
