How to perform: Sign up on-site when you arrive anytime before 7 30 pm
(NOTE: We have 16 open mic slots available. If there are over 16 requests, the performance list will be based on a random draw of those who sign up.)
Feature bio: Matthew Kee is a Toronto-born writer and poet who grew up reading on the streetcar and inevitably missing his stop. He has performed in poetry slams across Canada, and competed on the national stage at the 2023 Canadian Individual Poetry Slam. Since then, he has featured at the Vancouver Poetry Slam and the Poetry All-Stars Showcase in Edmonton. Matthew writes about queerness, family, and growing up Chinese-Canadian. Sources close to Matthew say that his hobbies include archery, rock climbing, and speaking very loudly.
