About this event
Though this workshop is designed specifically for individuals engaged in training for poetry therapy and therapeutic writing, one need not be in a training process to attend.
Attendees will receive a collection of poems and stories based on explorations of all of the ways in which we define family. Workshop will include peer sessions that utilize both discussion and writing techniques. Techniques learned will be applicable toward work with individuals and groups as well as adults and children alike.
Those in training will also receive opportunities to design and deliver facilitation plans. There will be open discussion periods for questions throughout the workshop.
Attendance and participation in the complete program will provide 8 hours of peer, 2 hours of didactic, and 2 hours of group supervision.
Listed below are the times of the workshop. In order to register, one must be able to attend at least two-thirds of the total intensive (i.e. at least 8 of the 12 hours). The week prior to the intensive beginning, each registrant will receive a detailed schedule of events and topics.
