Event description

Description

History is often referred to as a “book-based discipline.” But an exciting cohort of audio story tellers is also doing the work of history through podcasting. Join WUWM and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Center for 21st Century Studies for an evening of audio history with Liz Covart, the host of the widely-popular podcast on the American Revolution, Ben Franklin’s World. Along with WUWM Lake Effect host Mitch Teich, Covart will discuss how podcasting is helping a new generation of history buffs learn about the Founding Fathers.

Tuesday, April 30. Doors open at 5:30 pm, discussion begins at 6:00 pm.

The event is open to the public and will be held in the Golda Meir Conference Center on the fourth floor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Golda Meir Library.

The event is sponsored by the Center for 21st Century Studies, WUWM 89.7 FM, the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Department of History and Journalism, Advertising, and Media Studies, and the Digital Humanities Lab.
