Come join us for the POCC annual two day conference that includes awards ceremony, mental health wellness workshops and keynote presentations from national consumer leaders.
*Please note that on Thursday, June 24th from 8:30am-11am the POCC will be hosting its Annual Membership meeting and the POCC Conference will officially start at 11:30am. On Friday, June 25th the conference will start at 8:30am and end at 4pm.
About the organizer
The purpose of the ACBH Office of Peer Support Services is to empower peers/individuals with mental health lived experience to take a leadership role in transforming Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services through involvement in: 1) Systems Change 2) Peers as Mental Health Providers, including providers of Peer-Run Services 3) Training and Education 3) Self Help and Peer Support 4) Evaluation
Values: To promote the transformation of the mental health and substance use system toward peer-driven and culturally relevant services that support the wellness, recovery and resiliency of the whole person; To empower persons with mental health and/or substance use challenges to play as active role as advocates, educators, and service providers; To demonstrate peer support leadership; To further the self-determination of all persons with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
