All passes are free this year, and can be reserved here.

The tradition of the Pocahontas Reframed - Native American Storytellers Film Festival is to bring in for each film its actor(s) and/director(s). The interchange and discussions between the Festival goers and the artistic delegation is a unique event. It is extremely rare at any Festival to have the entire delegation present during the full duration of the event and to have these artists, authors, cineastes and actors willing to share, teach, explain their passion, cinema, to an auditorium with over 1,400 seats. This exchange happens at the Pocahontas Reframed - Native American Storytellers Film Festival and will be further emphasized and nourished through a host of academic and experiential learning experiences open to tribal members, students, educators and the public.

The success of the Pocahontas Reframed - Native American Storytellers Film Festival grows to such an extent -attracting more than 2,000 entries in the Byrd Theatre in Carytown during the weekend of the Festival- that the event is to be soon recognized by the film industry and governmental leaders as an important American Indian Film Festival on the East Coast of the United States. The Festival is an example of what passion and desire for more exposure to indigenous languages, cultures and societies can accomplish.

The Festival’s single largest supporter is its public.
