Eating Problems of children with ASD and other developmental disabilities -- Interventions for Parents and Caregivers
There are several good reasons to start working on your child's eating problems:
-nutritionally balanced diet for long term health (health = less behavior problems)
-to make your (family) life easier!
-meal and snack times are GREAT for socializing
-promote other skills that improve in parallel (oral and fine motor)
Join us Saturday January 28 from 1-4pm to discuss common eating problems and behavioral treatments for children with autism.
Learn how to identify the problem, establish a meal schedule, begin general behavioral strategies, introduce new foods, and motivate your child to eat.
We will also discuss specific meal time behavior problems and why interventions fail.
