Join us for the 6th annual Run For Your Life (RFYL) 5k Fun Run/Walk and Health Fair on Saturday, April 16, 2016, sponsored by Sundown M Ranch!
This year, all proceeds benefit Children's Wishes and Dreams, a local foundation that provides wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. They are a 100% volunteer-operated organization, and all the proceeds from this event go towards supporting this wonderful organization in granting wishes to children with life-altering conditions. More information can be found at childrenswishesanddreams.com.
Registration includes a RFYL 2016 t-shirt, and costs $25 per individual, $22 per team member (teams must be four or more people), so get a group together and sign up! RFYL will honor the team which raises the most money for Children's Wishes and Dreams.
You have two options for checking in and picking up your race bag and t-shirt (and water bottle, if you order one!):
Option #1: Friday, April 15, 2016, from noon to 3 pm at PNWU (200 University Parkway)
Option #2: Day-of RFYL: Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at 32 Front St.
The 5k starts at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 16, 2016, and the health fair goes from 7:30 am to 11:30 am!
Please note: This year we will not be timing 5k participants or providing run/walk results. We will have a large race clock at the finish line for those who wish to record their own times. We feel this will enhance the sense of community and emphasize the non-competitive nature of Run For Your Life. Please feel free to email for concerns and comments: runforyourlife5k@pnwu.edu.
New this year, we are selling RFYL Water Bottles! These 24 oz. bottles are created by Yakima’s own Liberty Bottleworks, designed by Megan Newell. Our 2 available options can be seen below, and here (on our website). We have sold out of the EKG bottle, but you can order the Medical Mosaic bottle for an additional $20 at checkout.
The Health Fair will feature wellness- and healthcare-related booths and a silent auction (all indoors), in Russillo's Restaurant and Northtown Coffeehouse from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
After the 5k, stick around for our post-race events! Activities include Kids Fun Run, bouncy castle, silent auction, food for purchase (including Russillo's pizza), awards for fundraising, and raffle.
Have children who want to participate but aren't quite ready for a 5k? Sign them up for the Kids' Fun Run, which will start after the 5k! This will be a short course, with free registration for children, but no t-shirt or race bag will be provided.
Connect with us on Facebook for event updates and to join the RFYL community!
Find your photos after the event at Smugmug! Proceeds from photo sales will also benefit Children's Wishes and Dreams.
