PMS - The L-Night party
Event Information
Description
The most anticipated queer women's event of the year has arrived: PMS is in town!
After only 6 years of waiting, we have finally made it happen.
The L-Night goes PMS (Pussy Mood Syndrome) and puts its party shoes on!
L-Night Berlin is a friendly social group for queer women and non-binary individuals who feel they have a connection to the women's community. We particularly welcome women who are marginalized within the LGBTQIA+ community, such as trans women, women of color, older women, disabled women and other similar groups.
Come for some art and music, stay for the fabulous people!
Expect a chill/lounge area with a photo exhibition, a nice selection of drinks and a soul DJ set by Vanessa. Let's get down with the slow down!
Downstairs is where we go wild!
We are priviledged to welcome Berlin based artists who come to support our queer community.

DOWNSTAIRS MUSIC LINE-UP
22:30 - 23:30 KOY
KOY is the transoceanic solo odyssey of St. Petersburg (RUS) born, Berlin-based artist Victoria Trunova. Raised in Germany, KOY has lived in and moved between Berlin (GER), Helsinki (FI), Oslo (NO) and Bergen (NO). Along the way, KOY has collected eclectic sonic traces and technicolour aesthetics that travel with her sound. KOY’s music is evocative of early The Knife, Grimes at her catchiest, Patrick Wolf at his most experimental, and Cocteau Twins at their most rhythmic. With glistening, dazzling, jarring graphics, video and artwork alongside the music – and a spoken word intro – KOY’s aesthetic is consistently beguiling, and the Dictatorship commanding.
23:45 - 00:45 CAONA
Caona, "gold" in the Taïno language (the extinct Amerindians of the Caribbean), is an exodus from an industrial Zurich to a blazing Santo Domingo. Obscure but shiny as is its mining industry, CAONA's sounds are inflamed by nihilism, sex, femininity but shadowed by a post-colonial torment.

01:00 - 02:00 Labrysinthe
Labrysinthe is Natalia Lincoln, who took the scenic route to psytrance - first with classical training, then turning towards the dark and modern as she joined gothic/apocalyptic folk band Unto Ashes (NYC) as premium purveyor of keyboards, vocals, and gloom. Natalia moved to Berlin in 2008 to taste the delightfully twisted freakquencies of electronic psychedelica, at which point Labrysinthe was born into this world that could neither spell her name nor name her spell. Since then, she-who-must-be-Labrysinthe studied at dBs Music Berlin. She is an original member of the Strength in Numbers beat collective in Berlin (@strength_in_numbers). Labrysinthe is voluntarily committed to the institution of psytrance and stands for better machines, brighter knowledge, bolder music, and the blissful ecstasies of the beat.

02:00 - 03:00 Akkamiau
Akkamiau's DJ sets resonate with the mystique drums guilted by space sounds and field recordings, bringing unexpected emotions into abstract architecture of techno.
Collaborator of female:pressure.
