This two-day workshop will take place Wednesday, November 18, 3pm-6pm, and on Thursday, November 19, 8am–Noon (EST).
Effective project management requires the skillset to control the competing objectives of time, cost, scope, and quality. Participants in the Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: A Project Management Balancing Act workshop will get practice developing communications and change management plans to be able to balance stakeholder engagement and change management efficiently.
This seminar, Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: A Project Management Balancing Act, is an interactive workshop integrating content presentation, team exercises, and interactive discussion throughout. Each workshop segment incorporates a group exercise to assess learning, to engage participants, and to reinforce the presented content.
Seminar attendees will learn how to:
- Define project Stakeholder Engagement;
- Define Project Change Management;
- Explain the value of stakeholder engagement;
- Explain the purpose of change management;
- Apply best practices to develop a project stakeholder engagement plan;
- Apply best practices to develop a project change management plan;
- Analyze the impact of changes on a project;
- Evaluate the value of implementing stakeholder engagement and change management best practices for ones’ project
Join the PMIWDC chapter for this education seminar and earn seven PDUs in the leadership and strategic and business management talent areas. The training will be delivered over two days with the first three hours presented virtually on Wednesday, November 18 from 3 pm to 6 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). The second half of the event will be held on Thursday, November 19 from 8 am to 12 noon, EST.
About the Instructor: Mrs. Susan Parente, PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-ACP, CISSP, CSM, CSPO, PSM I
Susan Parente is a project engineer, consultant, speaker, author, and mentor who leads large complex IT software implementation projects, and the establishment of Enterprise PMOs. She has more than 20 years of experience leading software and business development projects in the public and private sectors, including a decade of experience implementing IT projects for the DoD and other federal government agencies.
Mrs. Parente specializes in revitalizing projects through collaboration with clients, stakeholders and vendors and using risk management to deliver project successes. Mrs. Parente earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and her master’s degree in Engineering Management from The George Washington University. She is currently a Senior Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for Essential Assets Group, an Associate Professor at Post University, an Adjunct Professor for the MBA Program at Montclair Status University, and Instructor for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at University of Virginia. She holds more than 10 industry certifications from industry-recognized certifying bodies including PMI, ISACA, Axelos, Scrum Alliance, (ISC)2 and more.
