PMC Listening Party
Event Information
Description
For the first time in Australia, PMC will be unveiling their MB3S XBD-A main monitor systems during an exclusive invite-only listening party at Ginger Studios in Richmond.
Interdyn invites you to join a select group of Melbourne based audio engineers, sound designers, producers and composers from music, film and theatre hear first-hand PMC’s latest addition to their flagship large active range. Local producer and musician, Cy Gorman will present a selection of different music - both live and recorded - to showcase the work of local artists and, of course, the speakers themselves.
We will also be joined by Chris Allen, PMC, who will be guiding us through the almighty MB3S XBD-A, exploring the genuinely unique technologies which enable PMC speakers to achieve the clarity, transparency, unparalleled bass and sheer power that cannot be equalled by any other professional monitor available.
We will also have PMC’s acclaimed TwoTwo nearfield speakers up and running for a taste of what smaller PMC loudspeakers are capable of. If you’re interested to have a personal demo of these speakers, you can register your interest on the night.
There will be refreshments available throughout the evening and of course plenty of opportunities to hear all of the speakers in action.
** Places are limited, your must Register to attend **

About the twotwo nearfield series
http://pmc-speakers.com/products/professional/active/twotwo6
From PMC – the producer of true reference loudspeaker monitors – the all-new twotwo series combines PMC’s world-class design pedigree with sophisticated digital signal processing and active amplification to create a range of stunningly accurate, versatile, and compact two-way reference grade monitors.
The range comprises of three models – the twotwo.5, twotwo.6 and twotwo.8 – all designed and built in Britain using state-of-the-art technologies and components. The result is unrivalled level of clarity, transparency and accuracy for professional compact monitors. twotwo series models all share the same core design and features – the model number refers only to the approximate size (in inches) of the bass driver, with larger numbers denoting increasing cabinet volume, greater bass extension and higher SPL capabilities.
PMC’s attention to detail is evident throughout the design of twotwo series, but a feature new to the compact range is their ability to operate in either the vertical or horizontal orientations without compromising stereo imaging or tonal accuracy. This makes them ideally suited for nearfield monitoring of music and speech in situations where space is at a premium, such as in outside broadcast vehicles, small radio on-air studios and television sound control galleries, project music studios, video editing and post-production suites and for A&R evaluations.
About PMC
From its foundation over 25 years ago, PMC has been driven by a passion for bringing engineering and emotion together, using precision in design to present music and sound as naturally as possible, as its creators intended. The company began with a belief that the reference monitoring of the day was simply not transparent enough for audio and broadcast engineers to do their jobs efficiently — and that PMC could improve on it. Today we understand, as we did then, that audio professionals need references that present them with the unvarnished truth. It’s the only way to create lasting work that, in technical and emotional terms, really translates. This approach, of employing advanced design to convey sound and feeling as accurately as possible, has underpinned every PMC design from the first, and it still keeps us awake at night. Like our products, we’re forever driven to produce something better. PMC Reference Monitoring. For accurate audio and music that moves you.
