About this Event

Plug & Play and SAE International are joining forces on a new Meet Up event to accelerate the advancing technology that is connecting and changing our world and to inspire the diverse, STEM-fluent future innovators of tomorrow. Topics cover the spectrum from 21st century mobility and smart cities to digital transformation and the future workforce. The program includes presentations from 4 technology leaders followed by an interactive panel discussion with Q&A on topics to facilitate cross-industry collaboration and innovation. Connect with leaders in technology across the continuum of industries working to change the world. Join us to network (over food and refreshments) and enjoy the program highlighting the emerging technologies that will change life as we know it today.

FoundHER’s initiative aims to help level the playing field for women within Silicon Valley's innovation and entrepreneurship spheres. Through a series of events and networking opportunities, we hope to bridge the gap between women looking to get more involved in startup culture from any angle, from investing, launching and developing. We hope to empower women by providing them with a network of valuable resources, and ultimately help create more opportunities for females within Silicon Valley's startup landscape.

Speakers:

Anna Mracek Dietrich: Started out as an MIT rocket scientist and is now an entrepreneur, author, speaker and consultant as well as an SAE Member and STEM education advocate. Full Bio: http://www.annamdietrich.com/

Lei Qi, Principal at Alliance Ventures: Lei is an experienced cross-border venture capital investor and startup advisor. She covers US and China investments, focusing on the Mobility/Transportation space. Some of her investments include Lyft (IPO), School Mint (acquired), iManis Data (acquired), Getaround, Plus.ai, DeepMap, WeRide, Tekion, PowerShare. Prior to entering venture capital, she worked at Bain & Company, advising Fortune 500 senior executives and management teams on China market entry, business development, corporate strategy, and operational improvement. Lei is also co-founder and board director of HERTALE.INC, a cross-border non profit organization focusing on promoting female leadership.

Jessika Lora, CEO of CarForce: Jessika was named Global Entrepreneur of the Year by IBM in 2016 and also earned CarForce the prestigious Mobility Startup of the Year award at SXSW'S 2016 Hatch Pitch. She is the former Head of Automotive Corporate Partnerships for eBay and GM of eBay Motors’ Vehicles C2C business; running strategy for eBay’s $7.3B automotive division and responsible for turning around eBay’s $1.6B consumer-to-consumer (c2c) vehicle sales sector with double-digit growth. Formerly a management consultant for Deloitte and Stanford BS and MS graduate with over 10 years of automotive and e-commerce experience.

Christine Moon, Co-founder & COO of BlueSpace.ai: Bluespace.ai is powering the future of urban mobility with its AV(autonomous vehicle) software technology. Christine has spent 15 years in Silicon Valley working at frontier tech companies pioneering in the self-driving, genomics, cloud and mobile industries (Drive.ai, Color Genomics, Dropbox, Google). Christine is a Fulbright and Rotary scholar, Yale Fellow. Attended Yale and Yonsei University (S. Korea). Her passion includes her three kids and empowering the under-served and promoting STEAM education. She is a board member at Ignited Education (https://www.igniteducation.org), a non-profit dedicated to transforming STEM education.
