The drypoint line is one of the most unique and cherished lines in the art world. It's softness and inconsistency is unattainable through any other art-making technique. In this workshop, students will learn how to prepare and print plexiglass drypoint plates. This technique falls into the category of intaglio printmaking which has been a prominent printmaking medium for centuries and mastered by the likes of Durer, Picasso, Degas, Serra, Close and the list can go on for centuries. See it for yourself and see your drawings transformed. Students will leave the class with a working knowledge of shop etiquette, drypoint and printing techniques as well as a small portfolio of prints and their own original plate.
This is a two day workshop that meets from 11am-2pm on March 14 & 21
Supplies are included in the tuition fee
