Event description

Description

In celebration of our 40th Anniversary, PLEN is highlighting the impact we’ve made as we continue to break down barriers for future women policy leaders. The 40th Anniversary Leadership Connection series will bring our current and future leaders together in one room to discuss our country’s most pressing policy issues. Through these discussions, we’ll look back at the progress that we have made and look forward to the work that still needs to be done.

Join PLEN for a discussion on the history and impact of the Voting Rights Act, and the current issues people across the country face when they attempt to vote. We’ll begin with a history of voting rights in the United States and end with actionable ways you can get involved in the protection of voting rights for Americans.

The panel discussion will start at 4:30 and conclude at 6:00 pm, followed by a networking reception with light fare.

We have designed this event to fully comply with US Senate Rule 35.1(d)(1), US House Ethics Manual pp. 41-47, and the U.S. Executive Branch Gift Rules regarding the “widely attended event” exception to the gift rules.

Host Committee (in formation):
