Description

For three days, college women will be immersed in the professional world of Washington, D.C. They will attend interactive workshops on salary negotiation, resume writing, and networking, as well as have limitless opportunities to connect with top-level women through question and answer sessions and roundtable discussions. Students will learn how the dynamic private, nonprofit, and public sectors of Washington, D.C. work together to write, influence, and implement policy from top, middle, and entry level women who influence policy in these fields. Students will attend panels focused on current policy discussions within those sectors, such as global economics, corporate social responsibility, immigration, and education. Students will also meet other women from across the country with similar interests and ambition to pursue a policy career in D.C. and across the country.

Track 1: Corporate Leadership

Students will learn extensively about careers in business, economics, corporate social responsibility, and the skills necessary to excel in the private sector.

Track 2: Nonprofit Leadership

Students will hear from top-level women from a variety of nonprofit and advocacy organizations and delve into policy, research, direct service, and fundraising careers available in nonprofit organizations.
