There is nothing better than walking out into the wilderness with canvas, paints and an easel prepared to soak in the environment and paint the wild landscape before you. Renowned plein air expert Tom Soltesz is leading a two day workshop where he will relay his knowledge and skill of plein air painting. The objective of this workshop is to learn about painting around the park in different locations under various conditions. Tom will discuss the various methods for producing paintings on location and the materials it takes to produce a painting in one sitting. He will demonstrate and lecture to explain short cuts and simple ways to capture your subject in less than two hours. The class will have ample time to paint in the open “en plein air” with Tom’s expert eyes and vast knowledge for individual instruction and critique. All levels welcome.
