Description

To all those with an interest in play in London!

It is some years since London Play hosted their breakfast seminars which provided an opportunity for those interested in play in London to come together, share ideas and discuss current opportunities.

Due to the ravishes of austerity much has changed for play over the last few years, and not for the good. Although London Play are not in a position to host breakfast meetings anymore, three of us have come together to try and resurrect them because so many people have commented how useful they were and that they are missed.

With that in mind you are invited to join us on:

Wednesday 9th May

11am – 1.30pm

Lift Youth Hub

The Chapel Room

White Lion Street

N1 9PW

Close to The Angel, Kings Cross and numerous bus routes.

The meeting will begin with an update from each person about what is happening in their borough so that we begin to get a picture of the state of play in London – we will then go on to share ideas about how we can protect play and develop new initiatives.

So if you are a playworker, a play street volunteer, you support play or indeed are a local authority commissioner do come along and join us.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Barry Walden, Commissioning Manager London Borough of Camden & Vice Chair London Play

Nicola Butler, Director Hackney Play Association & Chair Play England

Christine Lehmann, Commissioning Manager London Borough of Islington
