What is Play Hard Play Hard? It is a multicultural art project that combines thought-provoking theatre with global music from the Middle East & beyond. It disrupts the traditional conversation around cultures whose names one encounters often only in the news.

How does Play Hard Play Hard work? Play Hard Play Hard has two parts: one play & one party. A play that challenges you by posing the hard questions about cultural identities and realities. A party that invites you into a world filled with dancing and vibrant cultural sounds.

On April 6th, Play Hard Play Hard will present WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT by the Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour and a dance party featuring Persian classics by DJ PANIZ.

WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT is a work about contemporary Iran and a generation born amidst the hardship of the Iran-Iraq war. In this play, there are no rehearsals, no director, no set. A different actor reads the script cold for the first time at each performance.

DJ PANIZ is an Iranian-American DJ, producer and recording engineer. As a DJ, the focus of her career is to bring the music of the Middle East, particularly that of Iran, to the United States. At Play Hard Play Hard, she will be playing the Persian classics alongside songs in Arabic, Kurdish and Turkish.
