With all of the craft beers that Boise has to offer, it's a great time to learn the art of food and beer pairing. Greg and Stacie Humpherys of the local Caboose Spice & Company will share easy, flavorful recipes using their signature spice blends along with their knowledge on how to match flavor profiles with different brews. Enjoy appetizers like spiced grilling cheese, curried meatballs and honeyed habanero chicken with pineapple expertly paired with beers from Boise Brewing! They'll send you home with a full belly, an excited palate, recipes, and resources to help you apply these concepts at home. Ages 21 and up. Registration ends March 7th.
When: Thursday, March 9th from 6:30-8:30PM.
Where: JUMP Share Studio in the lobby.
Greg and Stacie Humpherys live just outside Middleton, Idaho. They’re passionate about helping enthusiastic cooks learn how to cook unique dishes no matter their experience or kitchen equipment.
Greg’s background in the high tech industry and as a stock car race driver means he’s detail-oriented but comfortable with risk. He’s inspired by eccentric cooking techniques and getting the perfect balance of flavors in a dish. Stacie is passionate about graphic design, web design, and photography. Her professional background as an industrial engineer helps her to coordinate production, packaging, and logistics of the seasoning blends once each recipe has been perfected. Her favorite role, though, is creating and testing recipes.
The two love history, old movies, traveling and exploring the outdoors. Their faithful Vizsla dogs, Jennie and Mila, are always ready to clean up any delicious morsels that accidentally tumble from the kitchen counter.
