Event description
We have created a prototype of our immersive animation #PLASTICMIND game. We invite you to our artists talk. We welcome your feedback.

About this Event

#PLASTICMIND is an interactive game exploring brain plasticity and brain diversity.

Combining the skills of award-winning filmmaker, animator and storyteller Lucinda Clutterbuck, with her creative son Lewis Argall and his artistic ally Nik Malbasic, Plastic Mind takes us on an inquiry into the interaction of different brains. With the input of communications & IT specialist Lina Tao and artist & multi-media technologist Michela, this residency has developed a game for players to experience their impact on each other through creative play.

The game involves the interaction of four different brains on the Plastic Mind - a hub that integrates the input to unlock short animation films when particular combinations are reached. Four players control ‘neural’ input via a dial on a digital screen that connects to the brain via illuminated cables. It is a creative abstraction of synapse activity and neural pathways to the brain.

Two digital tablets are iPads (representing the left brain), and two are android (representing the right brain). The players represent different characters that provide input into an overall score from the classic WISC 4 test for cognitive ability.

We have created the first prototype of our immersive #PLASTICMIND game and invite you to play and provide feedback.

The game triggers a range of Lucinda’s animations that are projected onto the wall.

Join us for a glass of wine between 4-6 pm and let your brain and mind enjoy our creation.
