Description

The Plants Beyond Limits conference, November 10, 2017, is a one day event hosted at The University of Central Florida focusing on the relationship between humans and plants. The event will be open to UCF faculty, staff, students, and the greater Orlando community. Talks will include topics such as urban agriculture, holistic healing through plants, Florida native plant species, conservation, and ecosystem health with keynote presentations by Dr. Ray Wheeler from NASA on Plants in Space, Emily Ruff of the Florida School of Holistic Living on Healing ourselves and our planet with Bioregional Plant Allies, and Dr. Stella Salvo of Monsanto on Food Security and the Future of Agriculture. On-campus tours and workshops will also be offered. Vendors and community organizations will be present. Ticket cost at the door will increase by $5 on the day of the conference.
