We're hosting our first two-part Southeast Asian Day through a book launch community event and evening reception for our "Planting SEADS: Southeast Asian Diaspora Stories" stories that we've gathered this past year in partnership with The SEAD Project, ManForward, mk nguyen and Narate Keys and other Khmer, Hmong, Lao and Viet young people, healers and connectors.
The day event is free and open to the public, although space is limited. Donations are highly encouraged and welcomed to continue our critical storytelling work. Book sales and signing will be available. There will be performances, storytellers, art and activity stations. Light food and drinks will be provided.
The evening reception is a fundraiser to benefit The SEAD Project's work. Tickets are $50 and includes a 3-course Southeast Asian street food meal served small plate style and one non-alcoholic beverage. There will be a cash bar, DJ, brief program and silent auction.
