Event description

Description

Weeds—every garden has them; every gardener wonders what purpose they could possibly serve. Join Robin Haglund, founder of Garden Mentors®, to gain a better understanding of common plants that seem to magically pop up all over the PacNW. Learn to prioritize and tackle removing the weedy from the wonderful, the naughty naturalizers from the natives, and gain an appreciation for the history and great qualities to be found in some of our most tenacious border invaders – native, naturalized or otherwise. Plus, you’ll take away useful ideas for putting these erstwhile unwanted plants to use in your kitchen and home apothecary. A hands-on farm walk experience included.

Robin will have some items she has made using weeds to show some of the many uses, as well as product to purchase if you'd like to try some for yourself.

Students should bring their own hand shears, gloves, pen & paper.

Registration Required as space is limited!

Ticket prices are on a sliding scale, please choose an amount between $10-$25 that suits your budget.

We reserve the right to cancel the class (and refund tickets) if we do not reach a minimum number of students.
