About this Event

Currently Classes are scheduled at @PlantCityPVD, Providence, RI. However, 1 week before class, if we are not able to meet physically, then the class will be on-line.

If we do this on-line, we will still do the lecture (which will be recorded and you will receive a copy), including cooking demo (previously recorded - different recipes than listed) and you will get recipes and of course many handouts to help you!

4:00 - 6:00 pm @Plant City, Providence, RI

Plant Based Living Series: Effectively Balancing Your Body’s pH The pH level

(the acid-alkaline measurement) of our internal fluids affects every cell in our bodies. Extended acid imbalances of any kind are not well tolerated within our body. All metabolic process depends on a balanced internal alkaline environment. When the body is in healthy alkaline balance, germs are unable to get a foothold. Over-acidification of the body is one of the underlying causes of all disease. Learn how you can successfully begin and maintain an alkaline lifestyle.

Cooking demo:

  • Simply Lentil Stew,
  • Amazing Banana Oat Balls,
  • Spring Pea Risotto

A WFPB lifestyle aims to maximize consumption of nutrient-dense plant foods while minimizing processed foods, oils, and animal foods (including dairy products and eggs). It encourages lots of vegetables (cooked or raw), fruits, beans, peas, lentils, soybeans, seeds and nuts (in small amounts) and is generally low fat.

Research shows that plant-based diets are a cost-effective, low-risk intervention that may lower blood pressure, HbA1C, and cholesterol levels as well as increase weight loss and reverse many chronic diseases (diabetes II, high blood pressure, heart disease, certain cancers and autoimmune diseases) as well as reduce the number of medications needed to treat chronic diseases and lower heart disease mortality rates.

We have the power to prevent and reverse most chronic diseases, and to be healthier and happier than we ever imagined possible. A whole food plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle is the key!
