Description

Get your hands dirty and do something good for nature this fall!

Join One Tree Planted and the San Diego River Park Foundation invital habitat maintenance at the San Diego River Education Center!

The San Diego River Education Center will be a special place that bring people together and foster stewardship of our region’s namesake river. The new facility and park will be located on a 17-acre-river fronting property that includes wetland and coastal sage scrub habitats.

The sensitive environment at this site requires care and maintenance to keep it healthy for local animal species and beautiful for site visitors. We will therefore be doing important work like removing harmful invasive plants, weeding and trimming, collecting native plant seeds, hauling away debris, monitoring plants and animals, and much more.

All tools and supplies are provided. No prior experience necessary. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. In fact, this activity will feature a special, kid-friendly project!
