Event description

Description

This seminar provides information about how to plan for external funding, prepare the grant proposal, and submit it. It includes discussion on understanding the skills and support you need to be successful, finding appropriate funding mechanisms, interpreting funding announcements and completing proposal requirements, successfully packaging the proposal, and working with your SPH proposal team.

The presentation is by Jennifer Wisdom, PhD MPH, Professor of Health Policy and Management at CUNY SPH and former Associate Vice President for Research at George Washington University. She has successfully gotten funding from the National Institutes of Health as a PI for both a K23 (NIDA) and an R01 (NIMH), as well as from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She has served as a reviewer for NIH, the CDC, and other granting organizations. She has also taught grant development and has contributed to many other successful proposals.
