Planning for Leadership Transitions: A Succession Planning Workshop

Leadership transitions can move an organization forward or hold it back. Good succession planning can help insure the long-term sustainability of an organization. This workshop led by Tamela Spicer will help both staff and board leadership understand the need for succession planning, as well as provide insights on drafting such plans.

Tamela Spicer is the nonprofit services program manager at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy. She works primarily with faith-based clients, and specializes in organizational structure, fund development, and strategic planning. Prior to joining the staff at the Johnson Center, Spicer served as a Regional Development Director for The Salvation Army, Regional Director for the Arthritis Foundation, and Executive Director for Flat River Outreach Ministries.
