Planning and budgeting your production is painful - but necessary. Ann Bennett, long time producer of films and transmedia projects, shows you how to start that process and offers templates to use. From assessing your project, breaking the film down, to translating each element into a budget line item, this workshop will help you in this important step.

Ann Bennett is an award winning filmmaker, journalist, and educator. Ms. Bennett began her film career at Blackside Productions in Boston. Since then, she has worked on a host of historical documentaries and multimedia projects for public television, cable networks, and museums. Her production credits include; WGBH, HBO, WNET, History Channel, National Civil Rights Museum, and the Apollo Theater. Ms. Bennett has been honored with numerous awards including fellowships from; CPB/PBS Producers Academy, America Film Institute Digital - Content Lab, Independent Feature Project - Documentary Lab, and the Institute for Justice and Journalism at University of Southern California.

This seminar is being copresented by Third World Newsreel and the Documentary Forum at CCNY. It will be held at Shepard Hall, Rm 290 at the City College of New York.
